Nana Afua Kennedy-Kwofie and Ivy Kigundu-Toure were always close in proximity but somehow, had never met. Nana is originally from Ghana and Ivy is from Uganda and Côte d’Ivoire – both were raised in Geneva, Switzerland. Growing up in such a diverse environment, yet constantly being reminded of the challenges of minorities and the Global South, both vowed to work on changing narratives and representations in the media field. Finally they met doing their Masters at the London School of Economics (LSE), their passion for media production, content and creativity groomed them to come together and work on various projects such as this one. They dreamt separately, built simultaneously and are now creating in unison.
