I started having whiteheads on my nose when I was around 12 years old. During this time, a lot of my friends started experiencing acne and breakouts. Unlike them, I don’t remember ever having a single pimple. What I did have though, was millions of tiny whiteheads on my nose.

One day, a girl in my class pointed at me and asked “What’s all that white stuff on your nose?” I had never seen the whiteheads as a problem, but I became increasingly self-conscious after the second time someone made a comment about my nose. I decided to consult a dermatologist because I didn’t want to look like I didn’t take proper care of my body.

I tried a variety of products. Some of them showed positive results, like deep cleansing strips and charcoal, while others did not help my condition. Looking back now, I regret using Vaseline as a moisturizer when I was younger. The dense petroleum jelly, coupled with hormonal changes during puberty, clogged my pores and produced whiteheads.
